What is Queer Sports Fair?
Queer Sports Fair is a community-led event designed to celebrate and promote LGBTQIA+ inclusion in grassroots sport. It brings together queer-friendly and inclusive sports clubs, community organisations and like-minded individuals of all backgrounds, bodies, and abilities to explore new sports through a day of connection, discovery, and movement.
This event is a response to the barriers often faced by queer people in sport, and a bold step toward a more welcoming and vibrant sporting culture.

Your Founders
The Queer Sports Fair was dreamed up by Matilda and Tamm as a way to bring their shared vision to life — creating a more accessible and inclusive grassroots sports environment for the LGBTQIA+ community.
Matilda and Tamm met at Pride Skate, a community event held at Sydney Park Skate Park during Mardi Gras 2025. Both share a passion for creating inclusive spaces not just for the LGBTQIA+ community, but for people of all backgrounds and experiences.
Matilda
Matilda is an active member of multiple sports communities in Sydney and at some stage has played pretty much every sport under the sun!
She also promotes and co-ordinates meet ups around Sydney to create safe spaces for women and queer people in skateboarding.
Tamm
Tamm is a run-coach and founder of Queer Run Club Sydney. QRC's an inclusive run club for all abilities, from beginners to athletes, no matter who you are.
Tamm is passionate about creating inclusive spaces that spread joy and set positive examples.
