Emerald City Kickball

Emerald City Kickball is Sydney's newest inclusive LGBTQ social sports league. It began in 2020 as a project between friends to find a safe and affirming way to create an inclusive community during the COVID-19 pandemic. The league nurtures self-expression and connection among the LGBTQIA community and its allies. Instead of team before self, the league nourishes individuality and self-expression within the game. One unique feature is that players are invited to partake in an optional fancy dress theme for each weekly game. The league has expanded beyond Sydney to Perth, Melbourne, and soon Canberra.
